God, our loving Father, We thank you for your Servant Augustine Pereira, who gave himself totally for the spreading of Your Kingdom on earth.
You bestowed on him the grace to love Jesus, Your Son, above everything and to work for the growth of the Church by his simple life,
hard work and with the motto " To Preach the Good News to the Poor"! you further empowered him to heed to your call and to
consider the riches and comforts as mere nothing, put his trust in your providence alone and to live as a poor man among the poor!
By the witness of his life you inspired many to live as true disciples of Christ! We humbly beseech You, that just as you endowed him with so many graces, You may design to elevate him to the honours of the altar,
so that we may benefit greatly by his intercession and that, having him as our example we may lead a holy life. We ask this through Christ Our Lord! - Amen.
